Question about crossbelts

Post by Jim » Sun Apr 22, 2007 10:00 am

How wide are the Fencible cross belts?

What is your source for them?

Thanks

Haven't got them in front of me, but I think they're either 2 1/2" or 2 3/4". Most of our belting is made by one of our guys.

I'll try to check when I get home.

Thanks, would appreciate the info.

Is your bayonet frog integral with your crossbelt, or it it attached to your waistbelt?

What style is your ammo pouch, does one of your members also make it?

A little difficult to determine from the various pics.

Interesting site BTW.

 bad guess, my cross belts are 2 1/4", and the waist belt is 1 3/4".

Since we carry muskets instead of rifles, our bayonets are suspended from the cross belt, unlike the 95th and 60th rifles whose were hung on the waist.

We make our own boxes, but many merchants including The Discriminating General carry them.

There are some pictures of our kit here, but I haven't finished putting them up yet.

Regards
